Hey there 👋🏽 I’m Amena!

I am a digital product designer and freelance creative with over 7 years of experience. I am experienced in UX/UI design, brand strategy, graphic design, advertising and typography. I was previously at a digital design agency, Rightpoint, for 4 years focusing on building custom e-commerce websites on Magento and Shopify. I am passionate about creating inclusive and intuitive experiences.

I am the founder and lead digital product designer at my own web and branding design agency, ATA Designs, LLC (est. 2020).

In 2014, I decided to move from my hometown, Houston, to the Big Apple to pursue my career in design. I received a BFA in Communication Design with a minor in Creative Entrepreneurship from Parsons School of Design.

Growing up I always had an interest in art and design. I’d pay close attention to details and wonder how something was created: whether it was the design pattern on my dad’s tie, the delicate brush strokes of the horse’s mane on my mom’s oil painting, or even the way the animation was created in the movie with the lost clownfish.
